Colours of the Hebrides

✅ Colours of the Hebrides is Shopify store created with the Borders theme.

✅ The site was created to showcase landscape photography by two photographers based in the Hebridean islands in Scotland.

✅ The logo was created specifically for the store with the view of creating merchandise with logo embedded.

✅ Borders theme's unique vertical slider is ideal for bringing to life the colourful images - as they stack on top of each other and slide up and down on scrolling.

✅ A fully customisable menu can either be placed in hamburger format or laid out across the header.

✅ "Explore All" call to action allows direct access to the stores products.

✅ The striking logo comes to life as an overlay on darkened images

✅ The brand colours were chosen from a number of the photographer's most popular images. The aqua blue representing the hebridean sea. Orange and yellow taken from the sky not to mention the northern lights phenomenon witnessed regularly in the north west of Scotland.

✅ Highlighted here is a featured collection section. Shopify showcases various items from the collections contained in the backend. The collections are fully customisable and are a great way categorising products.

✅ Sticky header is enabled in this example where the header is always visible on scrolling

✅ A featured collection of mugs is highlighted in this example.

✅ CSS enables a hover effect as the user hovers over each product

✅ A fantastic way to drive traffic to any store is to take advantage of Shopify's blog section.

✅ Blogs are created in the backend and are fully customisable, enabling images and graphics to be included to each blog post.

✅ An up to date blog tells the search engines "hey I'm here and I am adding quality content regularly."

✅ An up to date blog is a fantastic way to add key words and to implement effective SEO giving the site a greater opportunity to drive organic traffic to it.

✅ A review section is a great way showing customer trust and are fully customisable also.
